April 16, 6:15-8:30 p.m. If you think only of tech companies when you hear the word “startup,” think again. Humanities and language studies can also be the spark for a startup, especially in New Jersey and New York City. A panel of experts will explore the intersection of languages, technology and entrepreneurship. The panelists will examine the vital role that humanities play in today’s international do-it-yourself economy by using Italy as a case study.<\/p>\n Panel includes: Event is co-organized and co-sponsored by The Theresa and Lawrence R. Inserra Chair in Italian and Italian American Studies, Department of Spanish and Italian, and the Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship. Business Owners Council, will be the keynote speaker at this special presentation, which is designed to show a business owner how to prepare to sell their business. It’s a deep dive into how to unlock liquidity when you own a business. It’s built around the idea of “begin with the end in mind.” Schiff is a dynamic speaker, and has been a great partner for our Center by working with our students.
