Recreation Center Basketball Courts with newly replaced light fixtures

On August 29th, the Student Recreation Center received an upgrade with the replacement of 36 light fixtures. The original fixtures installed over the indoor track & basketball courts were 350W fixtures which each used eight metal-halide bulbs*. The replacements are a combination of 150W and 60W LED fixtures.

The project was managed by the office of Capital Planning & Project Management with the contractor Big Shine.

As a result of this project, the University will see energy savings of 36,266 kWh per year.
