{"id":206358,"date":"2018-07-05T12:13:40","date_gmt":"2018-07-05T16:13:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/facilities\/?p=206358"},"modified":"2018-11-26T14:22:09","modified_gmt":"2018-11-26T19:22:09","slug":"university-facilities-consolidates-operations-on-clove-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/facilities\/2018\/07\/05\/university-facilities-consolidates-operations-on-clove-road\/","title":{"rendered":"University Facilities Consolidates Operations on Clove Road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On June 21, University Facilities (UF) consolidated its campus-based operations at 147 Clove Road in Little Falls.<\/p>\n<p>After brief remarks addressing this milestone from the Vice President for University Facilities <strong>Shawn Connolly,\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Associate Vice President <strong>Joe Marzullo<\/strong> and Assistant Vice Presidents <strong>Leonard Jones<\/strong> and <strong>William Fitzpatrick<\/strong> cut the ceremonial ribbon welcoming staff into our new home.<\/p>\n<p>The facility provides UF with 33,650 GSF of space to accommodate the Facilities Logistic Support, Maintenance and Engineering, and Building Services departments.\u00a0\u00a0 The renovation includes an exterior renovation comparable to that of the Center for Clinical Services, including roof replacement, siding and structural steel supports.\u00a0 Within the building renovations include open-plan offices, meeting rooms, a mail distribution center, the Facilities Customer Service Center, locker rooms, a break area, and a variety of trade-specific shops and production centers.<\/p>\n<p>The building features 6,850 NSF of Trades shop space, 6,300 NSF of Grounds and Housekeeping storage and work space and a 3,700 NSF Postal Services hub to serve the University\u2019s shipping, receiving, mail, and U.S. Passport processing needs.\u00a0 An open-office floor plan and modern meeting facilities accommodate Parking Services, the Facilities Customer Service Center, and AVP back office operations.<\/p>\n<p>Work Units centralized within the University Facilities building include:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Logistic Support Operations<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Parking Services<\/li>\n<li>AVP Office Support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Maintenance &amp; Engineering Operations<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Building Automations<\/li>\n<li>Carpentry<\/li>\n<li>Electrical<\/li>\n<li>HVAC<\/li>\n<li>Lock Shop<\/li>\n<li>Masonry<\/li>\n<li>Plumbing<\/li>\n<li>Facilities Customer Service Center (Service Desk Work Control)<\/li>\n<li>AVP Office Support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Facilities Services Operations (Building Services)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grounds<\/li>\n<li>Housekeeping<\/li>\n<li>Move &amp; Waste Management<\/li>\n<li>Pest Control<\/li>\n<li>Postal Services<\/li>\n<li>AVP Office Support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Congratulations to Director of Project Engineering<strong> Chris Danish <\/strong>and Field Assistant <strong>Stephanie Walton<\/strong> for completing this project on time and under budget and ensuring the smooth relocation of these critical business operations.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/facilities\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/57\/2018\/07\/UF-Building-Opening-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Facilities Building Grand Opening\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/>\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/facilities\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/57\/2018\/07\/UF-Trades-Work-Space-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/>\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/facilities\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/57\/2018\/07\/UF-Open-Offices-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/>\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/facilities\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/57\/2018\/07\/UF-Customer-Service-Center-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/>\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/facilities\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/57\/2018\/07\/IMG_60041-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/facilities\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/57\/2018\/07\/IMG_6002-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/facilities\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/57\/2018\/07\/IMG_6005-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On June 21, University Facilities (UF) consolidated its campus-based operations at 147 Clove Road in Little Falls.
