Revised Programs

For further information about the curriculum revision process, please refer to the “red notebook”, i.e., the Guide to Undergraduate Curricular Review and Approval at Montclair State University or contact either the Office of Summer and Winter Sessions at extension 4352, or the office of the Associate Provost Academic Programs and Assessment at extension 7290.

Most revisions of an existing program must go through an approval process up to and including the level of the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs. Any revisions to programs leading to teacher certification, following approval by the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, must also be accepted by the State Department of Education.

NOTE: Program revisions often take a greater amount of time to be implemented after approvals are secured due to advisement and registration timelines and requirements.

Routing sheets for the review of proposed program revisions in existing programs are available from department chairs and the Office of Summer and Winter Sessions, extension 4352, or from the Provost’s Website under the topic, “Chair’s Forms”.
