Forward an email with the\u00a0visitor&#8217;s full name and email address\u00a0to the NRA accountant (<a href=\"mailto:jeffersonc@montclair.edu\">jeffersonc@montclair.edu<\/a>) at least one month in advance of\u00a0the visitor&#8217;s anticipated arrival to prevent a delay in processing.<\/p>\n<p>2. The\u00a0visitor will then be contacted and provided access to the University&#8217;s online software service called Glacier. The\u00a0visitor must answer questions online to the best of their ability.<strong> Sprintax provides recommendations of taxability in accordance with IRS regulations ONLY after the foreign national completes all of the requested information<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Please note that the prior notification of your visitor&#8217;s\u00a0anticipated arrival\u00a0and the visitor&#8217;s completion of Glacier&#8217;s requested information is necessary for a determination of taxability. Failure to complete the process before payment is requested will\u00a0result in\u00a0automatic withholding of 30% to the IRS.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>3. A\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/media\/montclairedu\/financetreasurer\/forms\/accountingsvcs\/wiretransfer.pdf\">wire transfer\u00a0request form<\/a>\u00a0must be submitted\u00a0to the NRA Accountant\u00a0along with any original signed documents\u00a0that may be required in order to initiate\u00a0payment.<\/p>\n<p>4. If the visitor is determined to be treaty exempt,\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/pub\/irs-pdf\/f8233.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">IRS Form 8233\u00a0<\/a>may need to be submitted to the IRS with original signatures. In these cases, payment may not be released to the visitor for 10 business days following transmittal of Form 8233 per IRS regulations.<\/p>\n<p>5.
