Upperclassmen who identify as a First-Generation college student will be paired with 3-5 incoming freshman who also identifies as a First-Gen. Peer Mentors will be able to connect with other first-gen students and provide support to their mentees through personal growth, academic success, and social support within the First-Gen Peer Mentorship Program.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left\"><div class=\"prpl-drawer\"><div class=\"prpl-drawer-header\">Be a First-Gen Mentor<\/div><div class=\"prpl-drawer-content\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Applicant Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li>Identify as a First-Generation college student<\/li>\n<li>Obtained at least 24 credits<\/li>\n<li>Attended Montclair State University at least 2 semesters<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3.0+ GPA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Program Requirements:<\/strong>\u00a0<em>(Additional details will be shared during Training)<\/em><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li>Commit to being a Volunteer Mentor for the full academic year<\/li>\n<li>Required to meet with your assigned mentee(s) in person at least twice, both formal and informal, a semester<\/li>\n<li>Required to commit Networking Hours (3-4 hours) per semester<\/li>\n<li>Required to connect with your mentee at least 2x per month via text, e-mail, social media<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Mentor
