Strengthen Science and Mathematics Education Through Your Gift

The College of Science and Mathematics is dedicated to meeting our nation’s and New Jersey’s critical need for skilled and innovative scientists and mathematicians through:

  • A comprehensive curriculum and strong faculty to prepare undergraduate and graduate students with 21st-century skills in the areas of
    • Environmental science, environmental management and sustainability science
    • Chemistry and biochemistry
    • Biology and molecular biology
    • Physics
    • Mathematics
    • Computer science
  • Outstanding teacher training and continuing education in the STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
  • New and upgraded research laboratories and classroom technology

As part of Montclair State University’s strategic plan to address this need, a bold commitment has been made in building the Center for Environmental and Life Sciences — a 107,500-square-foot, state-of-the-art scientific research and teaching center. The Center is helping meet the increasing demand from New Jersey’s college-bound students. It expands the College’s ability to attract research-active faculty who can teach and mentor the next generation of scientists while advancing science through their own research.

Your gift can help in many ways, including:

  • Scholarships
  • Faculty fellowships
  • Naming opportunities in the new Center for Environmental and Life Sciences
  • Undergraduate and graduate student research
  • STEM education initiatives
  • Technology for the science and mathematics classrooms of the future
  • International student exchanges
