The Office of International Engagement (IE) consolidates the University's international initiatives and programs and provides leadership and organizational focus for the University's globalization. IE advances international objectives across colleges and schools through Montclair State University faculty and staff.
IE identifies and seeks external funding for international initiatives. IE provides funding for international initiatives through the biannual Office of International Engagement Grants.
IE develops strategic alliances with international institutions in order to provide multi-dimensional opportunities for academic collaboration across disciplines and student and faculty mobility. IE provides opportunities for faculty to invite, collaborate, host and mentor international scholars.
IE provides teaching opportunities on campus and at partner institutions through the program and at partner universities
IE provides opportunities for faculty to support study abroad by developing and leading short term summer study abroad institutes, promoting study abroad options to students or hosting international students.
IE is the authorized campus representative for Fulbright programs.
IE involves faculty in planning and participating in conferences, festivals and regionally based series.
