The Office of International Engagement at Montclair State University will hold its inaugural Leaders of the World program October 25-27, 2017. Keynote presentations, focused conversations and the Global Expo are free and open to students, faculty, staff and the public.
Wednesday Oct 25th, at 3 pm His Excellency Juan Carlos Mendoza Garcia, Costa Rica Ambassador to the United Nationswill open the conference with a presentation on Ethics and Civil Society.
Wednesday Oct 25th, at 7:30 pm,World renowned speaker Gregorio Luke, presents The Plight of Immigrants – Past to Present, inspired by John F. Kennedy's 1958 book A Nation of Immigrants, which proposes immigrants, by their very presence, confirm the basic impulses of American life.
Thursday, Oct 26th at 9:25 am, Former President and Vice President of Ecuador Dr. Rosalia Arteaga will present a keynote address on Education, Ethics and Leadership.
The Leaders of the World program provides Montclair State University the opportunity to showcase our programs, research, faculty, beautiful campus and outstanding facilities.
October 26th from12:45-2:00 pm, students, faculty and staff canmeet with international university partners from the Americas and Caribbean, Europe, Africa, and Asia at the Global Expo. Montclair State University faculty and staff are invited to showcase degree programs, study abroad programs and research projects at the Expo. Students will receive free t-shirts.
Top leaders in higher education, business, non-profit organizations, and government from the United Nations, the Inter-American Development Bank, Institute of International Education, Argentina, Australia, Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Ethiopia, England, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Paraguay, and Scotland, will join local and national speakers to engage in critical conversations about the role and impact of Ethics, Education and Environment in a changing world.
