Arts and Health

The graduate certificate program in Arts and Health provides arts professionals, health care professionals, and administrators with the tools to integrate the arts into health and wellness for individuals and communities.  The program is delivered in hybrid format and can be completed within twelve months. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

The program is housed within Montclair State University's School of Communication and Media and provides an interdisciplinary and highly applied approach to arts and health. Increasingly, art programs that advance health and wellness are integrated into health care institutions, performing and visual arts centers, community centers and libraries, schools, and senior residential communities or resource centers. There is growing demand for skilled and well-trained professionals who understand how to successfully design, implement, and manage such programs.
