Each academic program at Montclair State University has its own specific application requirements and deadlines. Be sure to review the Admission Requirements<\/strong> and Application Checklist<\/strong> for your chosen program, which you can find on your program\u2019s webpage<\/a>. Doing so will help ensure your application, and all required materials, are complete and submitted on time.<\/p>\n Create an account to begin your application. This account will allow you to:<\/p>\n Begin Your Graduate Application<\/a><\/p>\n Begin by filling out the online application form<\/a>.<\/p>\n We recommend setting aside about ten minutes to complete the form in one sitting. For the best experience, we recommend using a desktop device. If you need to return later, you can log back in through the application system sign-in page<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n After submitting your application, you\u2019ll be able to view the full list of required documents and materials.<\/p>\n You must list every<\/em> college or university you have previously attended, regardless of duration.<\/p>\n If you studied in the U.S., you may upload unofficial transcripts<\/strong> through the Applicant Status Portal. Uploading unofficial transcripts is encouraged to prevent processing delays. For more details, see our FAQ on uploading unofficial transcripts<\/a>.<\/p>\n In addition to uploading unofficial transcripts, you must submit an official credential evaluation from a NACES-approved organization that includes:<\/p>\n Course-by-course evaluations<\/strong> may be required based on your program. Evaluations must come directly from a NACES member organization<\/strong><\/a>. Suggested services include:<\/p>\n Doctoral applicants<\/strong> must submit a course-by-course evaluation for all earned degrees.<\/p>\n Electronic transcripts<\/strong> (eTranscripts) are accepted and often faster than mailing.<\/p>\n If you’re an undergraduate in your final term:<\/p>\n Regardless of which term you\u2019re starting in, official transcripts from all<\/em> previous institutions must be submitted before classes start.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Refer to your program of study<\/a> to determine how many letters are needed.<\/p>\n Recommendations can be managed in two ways:<\/p>\n Recommenders will receive instructions to submit their letters electronically.<\/p>\n If your program requires official test scores, please use the following institutional codes:<\/p>\n For Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT)<\/strong> programs, refer to the Center of Pedagogy website<\/a> for additional test requirements.<\/p>\n Most programs require a personal statement<\/strong> or essay<\/strong>. Some may request additional written materials or program-specific prompts.<\/p>\n You can read your prompt in the Application Checklist. Upload your statement(s) using the drop-down menu under the \u201cUpload Materials\u201d section in the Applicant Status Portal.<\/p>\n Please refer to your program\u2019s individual page<\/strong><\/a> for specific requirements.<\/p>\n A $60 nonrefundable application fee<\/strong> is required for in-person programs.<\/p>\n Payment options:<\/p>\n If paying by mail, make checks payable to:<\/strong><\/p>\n Montclair State University<\/em><\/strong> Use this address for mailing any documents that cannot be submitted electronically.<\/p>\n Ready to Apply?
