They are not eligible to be American citizens. They are considered DACA students. Several scholarships may help undocumented students pursue a degree program within their state. These need-based scholarships are awarded to students who are able to do academic work at the college or university level or are enrolled in a trade or technical program and who are active in the progressive movement. Applicants must have participated in activities in the US, and there is a strong preference for applicants who plan on working in this country.<\/p>\n<span class=\"prpl-button\"><a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/davisputter.org\/apply-for-scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\">Learn More<\/a><\/span>\n<h3>DR. JUAN ANDRADE JR. SCHOLARSHIP FOR YOUNG HISPANIC LEADERS<\/h3>\n<p>Applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as full-time undergraduate students, in an accredited four-year or two-year institution in the U.S. or U.S. territories, and demonstrate a verifiable need for financial support. At least one parent must be of Hispanic ancestry. Non-U.S. citizens are eligible to apply (DACA or Undocumented).<\/p>\n<span class=\"prpl-button\"><a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ushli.org\/dr-juan-andrade-scholarship-for-young-hispanic-leaders\/\" target=\"_blank\">Learn More<\/a><\/span>\n<h3>Esperanza Educational Fund Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p>Scholarship recipients will be selected based on qualities traditionally valued and demonstrated by the immigrant community: hard work, resourcefulness, perseverance in the face of adversity, academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to one\u2019s community. Open to High school seniors in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington D.C. with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA who have enrolled or plans to enroll in an accredited postsecondary college program the following fall. This award is open to any immigrants or children of two immigrants, regardless of citizenship status.<\/p>\n<span class=\"prpl-button\"><a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.esperanzafund.org\/scholarship-program\" target=\"_blank\">Learn More<\/a><\/span>\n<h3>La Unidad Latina Foundation: National Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p>LULF supports all students, regardless of legal status, who have demonstrated a dedication to advancing the Latino community.<\/p>\n<span class=\"prpl-button\"><a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lulf.org\/scholarships.html\" target=\"_blank\">Learn More<\/a><\/span>\n<h3>MPOWER Global Citizen Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p>* We have created this scholarship specifically for international and DACA students. Therefore, U.S. citizens wishing to study in the U.S. and Canadian citizens wishing to study in Canada are not eligible for this scholarship. * In recognition of the extraordinary potential of these students, we\u2019ve created the MPOWER Global Citizen Scholarship. We\u2019ve intentionally designed this scholarship program to be as broad as possible to match the broad, diverse experiences of international students. There\u2019s no requirement to be an MPOWER borrower to apply! Eligible students must be a high school, GED graduate or community college graduate. You must have a DACA or TPS status or meet other immigration criteria. You must be admitted to an approved Partner College.<\/p>\n<span class=\"prpl-button\"><a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/thedream.us\/scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\">Learn More<\/a><\/span>\n<h3>The Dream US: Opportunity Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p>Another one is TheDream.US Opportunity Scholarship is for DREAMers who live in states where they have no access to college. They may pay out of state tuition or their state will not admit them into its universities. The award will pay up to $80,000 for a bachelor\u2019s degree. You must have a DACA or TPS status or meet other immigration criteria. You must also be admitted to an approved Partner College.
