To opt out of receiving your W2 by mail, please log into Workday to elect the option to go paperless (you will not receive a paper version of the W-2). The deadline to choose the paperless W-2 option for the 2022 tax year is Friday, January 6, 2023. Any paperless elections made after this date may not apply until the following tax year.

How to Go Paperless

Follow this link for instructions on how to go paperless: W-2 Printing Elections or visit the Employee Self-Service section on Workday Quick Guide for HR. If you selected to receive an electronic copy in a prior year, you do not need to make the selection again. However, we do encourage you to review your selection to make sure it is correct.

Advantages of Going Paperless

Faster

Immediate access to your W-2 form. Once your W-2 is finalized, you will be able to download your form from Workday without delay.

If you misplace your W-2 and need a copy, you can simply download another W-2 form from Workday.

Safer

You will minimize the risk of identity theft. The chance of having your sensitive personal information (including your social security number) lost or stolen is increased due to the W-2 being sent through the mail.

Reduce the amount of human contact associated with mailing your W-2 during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Greener
You can reduce paper consumption and have a positive environmental impact.

Questions?

For any questions not addressed, please contact Workday Support at: wccsupport@montclair.edu or 973-655-5000, Option 3.

Reviewing & Updating Personal Information in Workday Deadline: Friday, December 16 The Division of Human Resources encourages you to prepare for the 2022 tax season by reviewing and updating your personal information in Workday to ensure your information is accurate for purposes of year-end reporting and W-2 distribution.
