With an aim to improve learning and performance, Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) practices include the analysis of learning and performance problems, and the design, development, implementation, evaluation and management of instructional and non-instructional processes and resources, particularly in educational institutions and the workplace (Reiser, 2001). The IDT field has been proactive and effective in conducting instructional design studies and applying various instructional design theories and principles in practices. The past half a century especially witnessed the exponential development of instructional design research and studies. Most of the research studies substantially provided an insight and effectively guided practitioners in applying research findings in practices.
The Research Resources section provides an overview of the research studies, publication and presentation opportunities, as well as an archive of Montclair State’s presentations in the field. This section continues to grow so please let us know if you have a recommendation to add.
