After the feature has been enabled for you, you may activate or deactivate it either from your campus phone or from your designated mobile number.\u00a0 When it is activated, calls received on your University extension will ring on both your University phone and the configured mobile device simultaneously. Calls from your mobile phone will appear as coming from your University extension when calls are placed to University direct phone numbers, e.g., 973-655-1000.\u00a0 Voicemail will remain on your campus extension. Requests for Extension to Cellular configuration can be made by using the link above and selecting \u2018Extension to Cellular\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Request this feature can be made by filling out the <a href=\"https:\/\/montclair.co1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_8k2tKNGwDRQxDBI\">online activation form<\/a> and selecting &#8216;Extension to Cellular Activation&#8217;.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Managing Extension to Cellular on campus<\/h2>\n<p>Once you have been configured for Extension to Cellular, two new buttons (EC500 (Extension to Cellular) and Extend Call) will be added to your campus phone which will be used to manage Extension to Cellular features.<\/p>\n<h2>Extension to Cellular Activation<\/h2>\n<p>While in the office, simply press the new button named EC500, on your campus phone to ACTIVATE Extension to Cellular. There will be an indicator on your phone showing the status of the feature.<br \/>\nExtension to Cellular Deactivation<br \/>\nWhile in the office, simply press the button named EC500, on your campus phone to DEACTIVATE Extension to Cellular. There will be an indicator on your phone showing the status of the feature.<\/p>\n<h2>Managing Extension to Cellular While Off Campus<\/h2>\n<p>Please make sure that you are using the mobile phone number that has been set in our Telecommunications systems for the Extension to Cellular feature.<\/p>\n<h3>Extension to Cellular Activation<\/h3>\n<p>Dial <a href=\"tel:973-655-2003\">973-655-2003<\/a> (hang up once you have received the confirmation tone)<\/p>\n<h3>Extension to Cellular Deactivation<\/h3>\n<p>Dial <a href=\"tel:973-655-2004\">973-655-2004<\/a> (hang up once you have received the confirmation tone)<\/p>\n<h2>A few tips and tricks for taking advantage of the Extension to Cellular feature<\/h2>\n<p>If you have answered a call on your mobile phone that is an Extension to Cellular call, simply pick up the handset on your campus phone to continue the call.<br \/>\nIf you have answered a call on your campus phone and need to step away from your desk, simply press the \u2018EC500\u2019 button on your phone to extend the active phone call, seamlessly to your mobile phone.<\/p>\n<p>Since your mobile phone is now configured for the Extension to Cellular feature, calls from your mobile phone, to a campus direct phone number, (e.g. <a href=\"tel:973-655-4000\">973-655-4000<\/a>), will be displayed as your campus extension to the called University party.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This feature integrates your campus extension with one fixed mobile number and gives you the ability to make and receive campus extension calls using either your campus extension phone or your mobile phone.
