All employee University email addresses have been configured in the system.<\/p>\n<p class=\"s2\">(<em><span class=\"h3\"><strong>Please note<\/strong>:\u00a0<\/span>Mobile numbers have not been added to user profiles. If you would like your mobile number added for notification, please send an email to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:itservicedesk@montclair.edu\">itservicedesk@montclair.edu<\/a>, attention Telecom, with your extension, full name, email address, and the mobile number that you would like to use for notification<\/em>.)<\/p>\n<p>The notification contains a URL that will open a browser window which will direct you to a Location Registration page. After confirming your location and receiving a green check mark, your extension will be tied to the updated location. If a call is placed to 911 from your softphone, the call will be routed to the appropriate 911 center, and an internal notification will be generated to pre-determined organizational personnel.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Email &amp; Text Alerts<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>After logging into your softphone on a laptop or desktop, you will be prompted to update your device location. Click the link in the message or the \u201c<b>Click Here to Register<\/b>\u201d button as shown in the notifications below:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/168\/2022\/10\/Image_002-144x300.png\" alt=\"iPhone Registration Alert\" width=\"144\" height=\"300\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/168\/2022\/10\/Image_003-268x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"268\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"s4\"><em>Please disregard this message if you have not changed rooms, or locations when using your softphone.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Providing Your Location While Working Remotely<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>After logging in<i>,\u00a0<\/i>your browser will open and present you with the following screen:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/168\/2022\/10\/Image_004-300x175.jpg\" alt=\"Location Picture\" width=\"424\" height=\"247\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Please pinpoint your current location. This can be done by either positioning the map marker by zooming in or by searching an address in the upper left-hand corner. If location services are enabled on your device, you will be presented with a suggested location. Once the red marker is correctly positioned, click \u201c<b>Register Location<\/b>\u201d<i>.<\/i><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Storing Favorites<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Once a location has been set, you can access that location from your \u201cHistory\u201d by clicking the dropdown menu, and either selecting that location again, or storing that location to your \u201cFavorites\u201d<i>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>These locations can then be quickly accessed again in the future by clicking the \u201c<b>Use This Address<\/b>\u201d button below that location.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/168\/2022\/10\/Image_005-300x157.png\" alt=\"Address\" width=\"300\" height=\"157\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Confirming Your Location<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>After clicking &#8220;<b>Register Location<\/b>&#8220;, you will be prompted with the following info message confirming the address<i>,\u00a0<\/i>as well as providing a line to add additional location information such as apartment number, suite number or any other location related data that could assist in an emergency.<\/p>\n<p class=\"s7\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/168\/2022\/10\/Image_006-300x161.png\" alt=\"Address Verification\" width=\"300\" height=\"161\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Registering Your Location<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>After clicking \u201c<b>OK<\/b>\u201d and finalizing the location, a black screen will be presented while the location is being confirmed and shortly followed by \u201cAddress registration was successful\u201d once validated. Once you see this screen, you can close the browser. If an emergency call is made, this will allow emergency services to locate you.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/168\/2022\/10\/Image_008-300x162.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"162\" \/><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">For Additional Assistance<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you are confused on how to provision a device\u2019s location or having difficulty, please click the green \u201c<b>Help Wizard<\/b>\u201d button in the bottom left-hand corner, as shown below. This will walk through a simplified process to assist in providing a location.
