{"id":6529,"date":"2018-06-14T16:08:59","date_gmt":"2018-06-14T20:08:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/?page_id=6529"},"modified":"2020-03-16T14:31:31","modified_gmt":"2020-03-16T18:31:31","slug":"citrix-faculty","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/faculty-related-applications\/citrix-faculty\/","title":{"rendered":"Citrix for Faculty"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>What is Citrix?<\/h2>\n<p class=\"p2\">Citrix is a server-based computing system that allows users to access applications without having them installed on your local hard drive.<\/p>\n<h2>Instructions for signing into the Citrix<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>To login Citrix, please go to <a href=\"https:\/\/citrix.montclair.edu\">https:\/\/citrix.montclair.edu\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Enter your\u00a0Username (ex.<em> lastnamef)<\/em> and password.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/168\/2020\/03\/Citrix-Login-300x74.png\" alt=\"Citrix Login Screen\" width=\"459\" height=\"113\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you are logging into citrix.monclair.edu for the first time, Citrix will attempt to detect the version of Citrix Receiver (now known as Citrix Workspace).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If Citrix detects the Citrix Receiver on the local machine, Citrix will continue with the login process.<\/li>\n<li>If the Citrix Receiver is <strong>NOT<\/strong> detected on the local machine, click on \u201c<strong>Use Light Version<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/168\/2020\/03\/Citrix2-300x151.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"586\" height=\"295\" \/><br \/>\nThe following window appears:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/168\/2019\/09\/Citrix3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" \/><br \/>\nTo add Favorites to your Home window: Single left click on: APPS and the following window appears. (The number of APPS depends on what you have rights to access).<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/168\/2019\/09\/Citrix4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" \/><br \/>\nLeft-click on the Star in the upper left corner of the application you wish to make a Favorite. Once you have clicked on the Star, it will turn yellow and be saved to your Home screen.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/168\/2019\/09\/Citrix5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" \/><br \/>\nTo add a desktop Favorite to your Home window: Single left click on: DESKTOPS and the following window appears.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/168\/2019\/09\/Citrix6.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" \/><br \/>\nTo open one of the FAVORITES, single left click on the icon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accessing a Network Drive (&#8220;O&#8221; or &#8220;N&#8221; Drives)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can access your drives remotely through Citrix by doing the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Right-Click on Windows Icon in the Faculty Desktop<\/li>\n<li>Go to <strong>File Explorer\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/168\/2020\/03\/File-Explorer-300x292.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"292\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Access the network drive that you want to access<\/li>\n<li>Open the file that you want to access and make changes<\/li>\n<li>You can choose <strong>Save<\/strong> to save in the current folder or<strong> Save As<\/strong> to save somewhere else.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Logging Off of Citrix<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To log off of Citrix, left-click on the gear (upper right-hand corner) and choose log off.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/168\/2019\/09\/Citrix8.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" \/><br \/>\nThe Citrix web interface will time out after 5 minutes of inactivity.
