{"id":22955,"date":"2022-10-18T09:48:07","date_gmt":"2022-10-18T13:48:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/?p=22955"},"modified":"2022-10-18T09:48:33","modified_gmt":"2022-10-18T13:48:33","slug":"duo-multifactor-application-logins-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/2022\/10\/18\/duo-multifactor-application-logins-update\/","title":{"rendered":"DUO Multifactor Application Logins Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">In our continuing efforts to improve security when accessing Montclair State University online resources, Information Technology will be <em><strong>upgrading our Single Sign On (SSO) and our DUO Multi Factor Authentication services on Thursday, September 29th and Friday, September 30th<\/strong><\/em> to better protect your user credentials. The migration process will run between 7:00pm Thursday through 7:00pm Friday. During this time users will experience intermittent interruptions which could last up to 1 hour.\u00a0 You should expect an interruption only if you are trying to log in to an application we are in the process of upgrading.\u00a0 If you are already logged into an application, you will be able to continue until you log off.\u00a0 SSO is new for the Google application.\u00a0 If you have already set up Google two factor authentication, the new DUO authentication\u00a0 solution overrides Google\u2019s two factor verification feature.\u00a0 Please see the image below for a complete list of affected SSO enabled applications or click on the <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1Zj1KAdMfLmlccxHBRjgfJf8gu8G0uWjznm-lAQjycr8\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1Zj1KAdMfLmlccxHBRjgfJf8gu8G0uWjznm-lAQjycr8&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1666187079495000&amp;usg=AOvVaw29c8vSwUvz0CXo_H7qxe1G\">link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/cL9-5ODSQ-87ptldrTUvbaAiun-A9Pvc26QvZSeSi0_2Am_hZ1ELXoFpBlHv4Sz4Dpsq6gNPaKPzSopShvYLZ7RXba-acI_-BqgHA8G0LbDReJ2RYO_-YyXIiLrMC89EorOfBjKMANBJ9ZOt6l6garNiT9fpYjyqGJYWAphxqVmmW7JmFgUB4oIkUw\" alt=\"\" width=\"568\" height=\"371\" data-bit=\"iit\" \/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>What Do I Need To Know?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">The migration process will not affect your login credentials and you will continue using your existing NetID and password.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">After the migration process is completed all of the SSO-enabled services will require Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) through DUO.
