{"id":283,"date":"2017-12-05T18:32:29","date_gmt":"2017-12-05T18:32:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/inserra-chair\/?page_id=283"},"modified":"2019-04-29T12:53:56","modified_gmt":"2019-04-29T16:53:56","slug":"bis-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/inserra-chair\/events\/2016-17-events\/bis-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Business Italian Style 2: Business Italian Students Interview Local Entrepreneurs for the Newspaper La Voce di NY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/inserra-chair\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2017\/12\/business-logo-square-1-3-323x350-277x300.jpg\" alt=\"Business Italian Style image\" width=\"277\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Given the success of the &#8220;<a href=\"\/inserra-chair\/opportunities-for-students\/bis\/\">Business Italian Style<\/a>&#8221; project (over\u00a0100,000 views for the articles and the videos produced by students of Italian and Media in the fall of 2014), the Inserra Chair and the Italian Program have launched &#8220;Business Italian Style 2.&#8221; The semester-long project, developed within the ITA321 Business Italian course taught by Dr. Enza Antenos and in connection to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/inserra-chair\/events\/2016-17-events\/critical-made-in-italy-part-2-food\/\">Critical Made in Italy Part 2: Food &#8211; Sustainability and Bio-technologies<\/a>\u00a0event (March 21), had a specific focus on Made in Italy and Food.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s interviews included Eataly USA&#8217;s Head Buyer\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/dinoborri\/\">Dino Borri<\/a>, Italian American celebrity chef\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lidiasitaly.com\/\">Lidia Bastianich<\/a>\u00a0and businessman\u00a0<strong>Andrea Illy<\/strong>, chairman of illycaffe\u2019 and Altagamma Foundation. <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lavocedinewyork.com\/tag\/business-italian-style-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">Read the articles <\/a><strong>(in English and Italian)\u00a0and see the videos\u00a0published by\u00a0the newspaper\u00a0<em>La Voce di New York<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The main goal of this initiative is to actively link the study of Italian language and culture to local Made-in-Italy businesses. The students from the Business Italian course prepared for, conducted, produced, and edited these interviews.<\/p>\n<p>The Fall 2014 project included prominent business people and creators in four key Made-in-Italy sectors (design, fashion, art, and food). The final product was four subtitled video interviews and related articles in Italian published in\u00a0<em>La Voce di New York.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The program also included a meeting with\u00a0<em>La Voce di New York<\/em> deputy editor Maurita Cardone who gave a\u00a0lecture titled &#8220;Business and Food Made in Italy: Video-Interview, Goals and Strategies,&#8221; held on Thur.
