She has published numerous articles on Italian-American history, and has co-edited several books among which:\u00a0<em>Les Petites Italies dans le monde<\/em>, Rennes, Presses Universitaires de Rennes, 2007 and\u00a0<em>Racial, Ethnic, and Homophobic Violence: Killing in the Name of Otherness<\/em>, London, Routledge Cavendish, 2007. Her book on the History of the Italian American press from the Risorgimento to WWI will be released in the spring of 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a name=\"Maurita\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/maurita-cardone-92569717\">Maurita Cardone<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is an Italian journalist with over ten years of experience in the field. Her articles and videos have been featured by a number of Italian media outlets. She has been a regular contributor to\u00a0<em>Il Sole 24 ore<\/em>\u00a0(the Italian\u00a0<em>Financial Times<\/em>) for the past five years, and has reported from New York for the last three. Since April 2013, she has been the Deputy Editor of the online magazine\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lavocedinewyork.com\/en\/\"><em>La Voce di New York<\/em><\/a>, a Manhattan-based\u00a0online daily magazine that chiefly focuses on the local Italian community and its culture. Prior to that, she was an editor for the environmentalist magazine\u00a0<em>La nuova ecologia<\/em>\u00a0in Rome. While working for the magazine, she developed a two-year video-journalism program, which involved high school students filming interviews for a final newscast project.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"Lucia\"><\/a><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.calabrisellafilms.com\/about-lucia\/\">Lucia Grillo<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is an award-winning filmmaker, with her company\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calabrisellafilms.com\/\"><em>Calabrisella Films<\/em><\/a>\u00a0producing narrative short films, documentary features, and music videos. Lucia is producer and correspondent of\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cuny.tv\/show\/italics\">Italics<\/a><\/em>, which airs monthly on CUNY-TV. As an actress, her screen credits include films directed by Spike Lee and Tony Gilroy, among others. Theatre credits include Cherry Lane and Signature theatres. She has taught acting at the university level and various courses\/seminars on acting and on Italian cinema, in the U.S and Italy. She received her BFA in Acting from New York University\u2019s Tisch School of the Arts and trained at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"alberto\"><\/a><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/avourvoulias.blogspot.it\/\">Alberto Vourvoulias-Bush<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is a freelance columnist. He has been Visiting Scholar on Online Journalism at the American Academy in Rome, helped found and launch foxnewslatino.com, served as Corporate Executive Editor of impreMedia, the largest Spanish-language news publisher in the United States, and as Executive Editor of El Diario\/La Prensa, the oldest Spanish-language newspaper in the country. Prior to that, he was Deputy Editor of TIME Magazine\u2019s Latin America edition.
