While Newark, NJ, with a high poverty rate of 32%, has an abysmal high school graduation rate, St. Benedict&#8217;s Prep has a near 100% college acceptance rate. The film details how the monks&#8217; &#8220;recipe for success&#8221; follows the 6th-century Rule of Italian Saint Benedict of Norcia and how the rule of the order he founded can serve as a model for whole cities nationwide.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/inserra-chair\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2017\/12\/the-rule-group-photo-500x109-300x65.jpg\" alt=\"The Rule Group Photo\" width=\"300\" height=\"65\" \/>\u200c<\/p>\n<p>Presented as part of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/arts\/school-of-communication-and-media\/events\/film-forum\/fall2014schedule\/\">Montclair State University Film Forum<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/cehs\/academics\/cop\/agenda\/\">Agenda for Education in a Democracy<\/a>, this is a program of relevance for students and professors of practically all colleges\/schools on campus, and in particular the Humanities and Social Sciences, Education, Arts, Communication and Media.
