Note that the Inserra Chair does not run these programs nor can it vouch for them. It is simply listing information received by emails and found on the Internet to respond to students\u2019 inquiries on the topic.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.teachingenglishinitaly.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Teaching English in Italy<span class=\"a11y-label\"> website<\/span><\/a>\u00a0 is a teacher training organization located in Florence, Italy. They offer on site and online courses, basic and advanced, to get TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certified.<\/li>\n<li><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dantemichigan.org\/voluntaritaly\/\" target=\"_blank\">VoluntarItaly2017<\/a>\u00a0is a volunteering initiative organized by the Dante Alighieri Society, Michigan Chapter, with the Oratori Lombardi in the Mantua area for American students of Italian, ages 18-25. It consists of working at summer camps in Lombardy (Northern Italy) from June 12 to July 2, 2017 helping teaching English and at the same time getting a chance to improve your Italian.<\/li>\n<li><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/geovisions.org\/program\/teach-english-in-italy\/\" target=\"_blank\">GeoVisions<\/a>\u00a0offers opportunities to work abroad as a volunteer English tutor or \u201cau-pair,\u201d as well as to participate in summer programs.<\/li>\n<li><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gooverseas.com\/teach-abroad\/italy\" target=\"_blank\">Gooverseas<\/a>\u00a0lists job positions to teach English in Italy and related activities.<\/li>\n<li>Through\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/greenhearttravel.org\/program\/adult\/work\/teach-in-italy\" target=\"_blank\">Greenheart Travel<\/a>\u00a0you can work as an English teacher in Italy for 3 months while living with a host family.<\/li>\n<li><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.interexchange.org\/travel-abroad\/teach-english-italy\/\" target=\"_blank\">InterExchange<\/a>\u00a0offers three \u201cTeach English in Italy\u201d Programs:\n<ol>\n<li>\u201cEnglish Conversation Coach\u201d to provide English tutoring for your host family in an informal setting;<\/li>\n<li>\u201cSchool Teaching Assistant\u201d to assist with English teaching at a local school while living with an Italian host family; and<\/li>\n<li>\u201cSummer English Camp\u201d to teach English through engaging activities and games at summer camps in Italy.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tips for Students Students often inquire about the possibility of working as an English language teacher in Italy, to be able to live in the country for a while or perhaps permanently.
