Preceding the upcoming February events focusing on the relationship between cinema and choreography, a screening of Luchino Visconti’s classic 1960 film, “Rocco and His Brothers” will take place on Wednesday, February 4th at 5:00pm in Schmitt Hall 104. This event includes an introduction by MSU Film Studies professor Alexios Lykidis<\/a>, who will also moderate a post-screening Q&A about the film, which discusses the topics of the divide between north and south, family, love, and brotherhood, among many others.<\/p>\n This event is presented by the Inserra Chair in Italian and Italian American Studies<\/a> in collaboration with the Amici Italian Club and the Film Studies Program<\/a> at Montclair State University and in connection with the February performances of ROCCO<\/a> at the Kasser Theatre and the February 17th Inserra event<\/a>, “Choreographers Greco and Scholten on the Creation of ROCCO”.<\/p>\n For more information about the film screening, as well as resources about the film, please visit the event page<\/a> or\u00a0email inserra@mail.montclair.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Wed.
