Edited by Laura E. Ruberto and Joseph Sciorra, <\/span><span class=\"js-work-more-abstract-truncated\">the volume explores the evolution of artistic and cultural expressions created by and about Italian immigrants and their descendants starting with the end of World War II. The publication features essays by prominent scholars in the field of Italian American Studies both in Italy and the United States, with contributions that range from radio programs to food, literature and folklore. Fiore&#8217;s contribution includes an introduction to the causes, dimensions, and internal diversity of the phenomenon; a comprehensive survey of the publications available on the topic, mostly penned by journalists, and a specific focus on select topics\u00a0 such as political implications of the recent diaspora, new Italians vs. Italian Americans, and the absence of a circulatory model for migrants from Italy.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"article-content\">\n<p><span class=\"js-work-more-abstract-truncated\">Another article by Teresa Fiore, titled\u00a0<\/span>\u201cImmigration From Italy Since 1990,\u201d was included in\u00a0<span class=\"js-work-more-abstract-truncated\"><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.routledge.com\/The-Routledge-History-of-Italian-Americans\/Connell-Pugliese\/p\/book\/9780415835831\" target=\"_blank\"><em>The Routledge History of Italian Americans<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(2018), a\u00a0<\/span>landmark volume on the trials and triumphs of one of the nation\u2019s largest ethnic groups.<span class=\"js-work-more-abstract-truncated\"><span class=\"st\"><span class=\"m-6384897215964534666gmail-aqj\">\u00a0Edited by William J. Connell and Stanislao G. Pugliese<\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"js-work-more-abstract-truncated\">,\u00a0<\/span>the book\u00a0<span class=\"js-work-more-abstract-truncated\">features\u00a0<\/span>original essays by leading scholars and critics as well as rich illustrations, addressing themes that range from immigration, discrimination and assimilation to anarchism, Fascism, and patriotism.
