2021 John J. Cali School Writing Prize for Critical Writing About Music

We warmly welcome insightful writing about the meaning of music in our lives. The Cali School Writing Prize is an annual award that recognizes excellence in writing about music from a creative and critical perspective. The honor is bestowed on a written essay or podcast (with transcript) that demonstrates insight and originality, integrity in its research, and clarity of presentation. This year’s contest places special emphasis on online modalities. In addition to conventional written work, you are encouraged to send your best blog texts or podcasts.

Eligibility: Students enrolled in any degree program at the John J. Cali School of Music are eligible to apply.

Submission Deadline 2021: Friday April 9th, 5:00pm
