The John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University invites students, faculty, and staff to keep their musical passion alive by joining one of our spirited ensembles \u2014 the Montclair State University Pep Band<\/strong> or the Montclair State University Campus Band<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Montclair State University Pep Band<\/strong>
From the first whistle of football season to the final buzzer of basketball games, the Pep Band brings high-energy sound and school spirit to the stands. Members rehearse just once per week \u2014 Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:00 PM \u2014 making it easy to stay involved while managing a busy schedule. In addition to the fun of making music, members who commit to the full year receive a small stipend.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing a part of the Montclair Pep Band is an opportunity to support your school and have a good time doing it,\u201d says Dr. Thomas McCauley, Director of University Bands.<\/p>\n

Montclair State University Campus Band<\/strong>
The Campus Band welcomes everyone from across the university community \u2014 students, faculty, and staff \u2014 to perform in a concert band setting. With only one rehearsal a week on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, the group prepares for one on-campus concert each semester. Whether you\u2019ve been playing for years or are eager to pick up your instrument again, the Campus Band offers good music, good people, and a good time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
