We’re pleased to announce that Sprague Library will be getting a much needed refresher this Summer.

What: worn carpeting will be replaced plus renovation of the staff lounge

Where: the 2nd floor of the Library

When: starting June 6

What does it mean to you:

The books shelved on the 2nd floor of the Library will be unavailable to the library staff and library users for approximately one month, starting June 6. If you know that you need particular books this summer, please make plans to retrieve them or place a Hold on them before Thursday, June 2. Books placed on Hold before June 3 will be available for pick-up in the Library during our open hours.

Once the area is closed on June 6, Montclair faculty, staff and students can request sequestered items by placing a request using the Interlibrary Loan Request button in the library catalog. Turnaround time may be a little longer than the usual 1-2 weeks, but we will make every effort to obtain requested items. Remember that it is possible to request scanned pages/chapters, if that is all that is needed. The turnaround time for those types of requests is much shorter.

We anticipate that the 2nd floor of the Library will reopen in late July.

Subjects included in the sequestered area are:

Call Number Range Subject
A General Works
B Philosophy, Psychology, Religion
C – F History
G Geography, Anthropology, Recreation
H Social Science
K Law
L Education
M Musical Scores & Books on Music
N Art
