You\u2019ve spent hours digging through databases for your paper, finally spot the perfect article\u2026 and then realize it\u2019s not available through Montclair State University Libraries. Our collections are extensive, but no library can own everything.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s where Resource Sharing comes in. When something you need isn\u2019t on our shelves or online, our team works with partner libraries to get it for you. We use two main services to track down materials outside our collection:<\/p>\n
EZBorrow<\/a> connects you to the shared catalog of PALCI, a large network of academic and major public libraries in the region. Requests are usually filled quickly\u2014often within 3\u20135 business days\u2014and items are loaned for 16 weeks. This service is for physical books only; articles and book chapters aren\u2019t available through EZBorrow.<\/p>\n If the book you\u2019re looking for isn\u2019t available through EZBorrow, ILL<\/a> expands the search to our consortia partners and libraries around the world. Articles and book chapters typically arrive electronically within 24\u201348 hours, sometimes even faster. Physical items can take one to two weeks to reach us, depending on their origin.
