Want to better understand cinema\u2019s impact on the representation of Asian and Asian Americans in film?<\/p>\n<p>Join us starting <strong>November 13th, 2024, and lasting until November 25th, 2024<\/strong>, as the students of MLLT 367: Asian Americans in Film host the first-ever Asian\/Asian American Film Festival! Through these screenings, we seek to further Asian visibility in cinema and generate discussion surrounding the issues, culture, and current state of Asian and Asian American society.<\/p>\n<p>Below are the dates for the four film screening events:<\/p>\n<p><strong>November 13th, 2024 &#8211; <em>Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nEvent Time: 4:15 pm\u20136:45 pm<br \/>\nLocation: Montclair State University, Dickson Hall 178 \u2013 Cohen Lounge<\/p>\n<p><strong>November 21, 2024 &#8211; <em>My Neighbor Totoro<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nEvent Time: 3:45 pm\u20135:45 pm<br \/>\nLocation: Montclair State University, University Hall \u2013 Room 2032<\/p>\n<p><strong>November 21, 2024 &#8211; <em>Turning Red\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nEvent Time: 6:00 pm\u20138:00 pm<br \/>\nLocation: Montclair State University, Dickson Hall 178 \u2013 Cohen Lounge<\/p>\n<p><strong>November 25, 2024 &#8211; <em>Train to Busan<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nEvent Time: 6:00 pm\u20139:00 pm<br \/>\nLocation: Montclair State University, \u00a0Dickson Hall 177 \u2013 Brantl Lecture Hall<\/p>\n<p>While these events are held on Montclair State University\u2019s campus, they are not restricted to students; we encourage friends, family, and relatives to come and participate in the film festival\u2014everyone is welcome at these events! Additionally, all screenings will start exactly at their designated times, so be sure to arrive early to reserve your spot.
