Kearny District Hosts Families for STEM events

Kearny community members enjoy Tree-tastic STEM event

Kearny families are supporting their children's science learning by participating in exciting school-sponsored events.  The Kearny Public Schools District, a PRISM partner district,  hosted two Family Science Nights on November 3 and 17, 2016.  The November 3 event, called "H2O Olympics," was for 2nd graders and their families. The November 17 event, called "Tree-tastic" was for 1st graders across the district and their families. The 2 hour event on the 17th was hosted at Garfield Elementary School and facilitated by the Meadowlands Environmental Center. The district is planning more Science events for the 3, 4 and 5 graders during Family Science Nights in March and April of 2017.  The families  enjoyed the event.
