About the Positions:
Drop-In Clubs and Groups Facilitator - Apply Today
Facilitators for our Drop-In Groups and Clubs lead and facilitate group discussions each week or month. Facilitators treat group participants with dignity, compassion, respect and unconditional high regard at all times while facilitating a mutual learning process of interactive discussion. Facilitators provide a space supportive of an individual's discovery in a nonjudgmental, validating atmosphere and offer support services, referrals if needed, and campus resources. Facilitators also help to co-facilitate safe space trainings each semester.
Lavender Leaders - Apply Today
Lavender Leaders are undergraduate volunteers who develop and lead small- and large-scale educational programs, trainings, and workshops, act as a speakers bureau for the campus on LGBTQ issues, and co-facilitate our Safe Space Program training sessions. This position is part of our Peer Education Program which provides students with outstanding leadership and activism opportunities on- and off-campus.
• Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students in good academic and judicial standing
• Applicants must have completed 1 full semester at MSU
• Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.8
• All candidates must be able to attend mandatory fall and spring trainings
