The Department of Art and Design welcomes Assistant Professor of Animation/Illustration, Dr. Markus Santoso this Fall semester. Dr. Santoso joins our team with extensive research and experience in Augmented and Virtual Reality, Wearable Technologies, Natural User Interaction, User Experience and Interface, and Serious-game Development. He is currently establishing an Augmented and Virtual Reality lab on campus and assisting in developing new curriculum for an MFA in Creative Innovation and Technology.
Dr. Santoso holds a Ph.D. from Dongseo University, South Korea and received an Eyes-High Postdoctoral Fellowship to implement Augmented/Virtual Reality and Wearable Technologies for human anatomy illustration, medical education, and computational physiology. Dr. Santoso also had several industrial experiences with AR/VR-related startup companies in various capacities such as Hololens Developer at Wellness Computation in Calgary, Canada and Head of Department of Licensing and Gamification Department at Octagon Studio.
