Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Education Project Wins Award for Books and Supplies

The New Jersey Commission on Holocaust Education and Genocide Studies awarded the Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Education Project a $500 award to be used towards books and/or supplies for the center. The program is co-sponsred by the Commission.

The Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Education Project of the College of Education and Human Services offers teaching resources and educational programs dedicated to eradicating racism and prejudice in order to create a healthier, better educated and more just society.

The center is directed by Dr. Zoë Burkholder, who is also an Associate Professor of Educational Foundations. Dr. Burkholder is an historian of education whose expertise includes antiracist education and civil rights history.
