Jessica Bacon Receives Excellence in Teaching Award

Dr. Jessica Bacon, Assistant Professor in Early Childhood, Elementary and Literacy Education, recently received the Excellence in Teaching Award from the National Society of Leadership and Success, Sigma Alpha Pi. Dr. Bacon teaches classes on inclusive education and disability studies.

Dr. Bacon was nominated by her student, Kaitlyn Salviano. Salviano is a Dual Bachelor's and Master's Degree and Dual Teacher Certification Program student in Elementary Education (K-6) and nominated Dr. Bacon because of her passion for teaching. Additionally, Salviano was able to apply what she learned from Dr. Bacon to her life outside of the classroom.
