Drives to Help Support Our Community

Our college continues to do great things within our community and beyond. During the next two months, CEHS will run three drives to support those in need. Please consider donating to one or all of these great organizations. Donation boxes for each drive can be found in the ADP Center, outside of the Dean's office (UN3132), and at University College (Sprague Library).

MSU Food Pantry
To combat the reality and struggle of food insecurity for our students, Student Development and Campus Life established the Red Hawk Pantry. Of nearly 200 Montclair State students surveyed, 10% expressed food insecurity on a daily basis, while 15% expressed a need on weekly basis and 12% on a monthly basis. For more info, please go to https://www.montclair.edu/student-services/red-hawk-pantry/
Organizer: Felicia Hines, ECELE Program Assistant, hinesf@montclair.edu

Toy Drive for Joey's Little Angels
Joey's Little Angels is a registered non-profit with the mission of providing financial and emotional support to families with children undergoing medical treatment. To date, JLA has donated over 12,000 toys to children in local hospitals for the holiday season. For more info, please go to www.joeyslittleangels.org

NOTE: On Monday, November 19 at 12 pm there will be a pizza and salad luncheon for those that donate to the CEHS Holiday Toy Drive. Please RSVP so that we know how many people to expect. Lunch is free - the cost of admission is your toy donation! As a reminder, toys should be new and unwrapped.
Organizer: Joe Bavazzano, ADP Center Director, bavazzanoj@montclair.edu

Winter Goods for St. John's Soup Kitchen
This local organization provides not only meals, but also medical services and clothing to hundreds of individuals in need. CEHS is looking to gather adult jackets, hoodies, fleeces, hats, gloves, boots, and blankets for the winter season.

NOTE: Nothing to donate but still want to get involved? Please use the contact information below about volunteering to distribute our collections in person!
Organizer: Hope Kremer, Dean's Office Graduate Assistant (kremerh1@montclair.edu, 973-934-9484)
