“Homburg” Premieres at Kasser Theater

Entirely new adaptation conceived and directed by Professor Jorge Cacheiro

Re-imagined, adapted, and directed by Jorge Cacheiro, assistant professor in the College of the Arts’ Department of Theatre and Dance, the world premiere of Homburg was performed at the Alexander Kasser Theater from March 10 – March 14. Adapted from German romantic writer Heinrich von Kleist’s play, The Prince of Homburg, Cacheiro’s Homburg speaks about the epic struggle between an individual’s will and society’s expectations.

Available online is an interview with director Jorge Cacheiro and excerpts from the Homburg production journal of dramaturg Neil Baldwin.
