MSU Places 63 on NJAC All-Academic Team

Montclair, NJ (6/15/09) — Women’s lacrosse standout Marykate DiBenedetto (Cinnaminson, NJ / Cinnaminson) and football junior Ron Litz (South River, NJ / South River) were selected to the First Team as the New Jersey Athletic Conference released its All-Academic Team for the 2008-09 academic year.


Football placekicker Marco Capozzoli (Bloomfield, NJ / St. Joseph’s (Montvale)) and field hockey midfielder Rebecca Dobiesz (Old Bridge, NJ / Old Bridge) were chosen to the Second Team as Montclair State placed a total of 63 student-athletes on the Team.


A conference-record total of 510 student-athletes to this year’s NJAC All-Academic Team. To be eligible for the squad, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior who has competed in a conference-sponsored sport while achieving a minimum grade point average of 3.20. First and second-team selections were made by the individual institutions.
