Jimenez rushed for 85 yards on 23 carries and scored Montclair State’s final touchdown as the Red Hawks claimed a share of the NJAC championship with a 21-8 win at local rival William Paterson. Jimenez, who averaged 3.7 yards per carry, scored on a four-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to give MSU a 13-point lead. The victory also kept Montclair’s NCAA Playoff hopes alive and the Red Hawks were awarded one of the six at-large bids to the NCAA Division III Playoffs.
Donahue helped the Red Hawks run their winning streak to three as Montclair knocked off Drew and Division I St. Peter’s College on successive days last week. Against Drew in a 162-90 win, Donahue helped the 400 medley relay team to victory with a time of 4:19.65 before taking the 50 freestyle (30.53) and 1000 freestyle (11:34.07). The next day she again helped the 400 medley team to victory at 4:13.37 while also finishing second in the 200 freestyle (2:05.67).
