{"id":13003,"date":"2014-06-03T08:14:36","date_gmt":"2014-06-03T12:14:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/news\/article.php?ArticleID=13003"},"modified":"2014-06-03T08:14:36","modified_gmt":"2014-06-03T12:14:36","slug":"13003_toward-a-sustainable-new-jersey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/newscenter\/2014\/06\/03\/13003_toward-a-sustainable-new-jersey\/","title":{"rendered":"Toward a Sustainable New Jersey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The PSEG Foundation has awarded a $1 million grant to Montclair State University\u2019s PSEG Institute for Sustainability Studies to support future research activities and collaborative educational programs that are directed at fostering a sustainable and resilient New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--> <\/p>\n<p>The three-year award will support the PSEG Institute for Sustainability Studies in pursuing leading-edge research that cuts across academic disciplines to address current sustainability issues. It will also fund an array of environmental education and outreach programs for the larger community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe mutual benefits to be generated from a robust Institute for Sustainability Studies will complement the strategic focus of both Montclair State and PSEG,\u201d says Montclair State University President Susan A.
