{"id":14248,"date":"2015-03-13T10:46:25","date_gmt":"2015-03-13T14:46:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/news\/article.php?ArticleID=14248"},"modified":"2015-03-13T10:46:25","modified_gmt":"2015-03-13T14:46:25","slug":"14248_university-earns-high-ranking-for-education-programs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/newscenter\/2015\/03\/13\/14248_university-earns-high-ranking-for-education-programs\/","title":{"rendered":"University Earns High Ranking for Education Programs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>U.S. News &amp; World Report\u2019s<\/em> 2016 edition of Best Graduate Schools has ranked Montclair State University as one of the nation\u2019s \u201cBest Education Schools.\u201d <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am pleased that Montclair State continues to be recognized as a national leader in the preparation of teachers and other education professionals,\u201d said Tamara Lucas, acting dean of the University\u2019s College of Education and Human Services.&nbsp;\u201cThis ranking, along with other national honors bestowed on the College, reflects the high-quality work of our faculty, staff and students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Each year, <em>U.S. News &amp; World Report<\/em> provides independent assessments of the country\u2019s top professional school programs in education, basing its ratings on a combination of expert opinions of program excellence and statistical data that measure the quality of a school\u2019s faculty, research and students. <\/p>\n<p>In the 2016 edition of <em>Best Graduate Schools<\/em>, the University earned a ranking of 110 to place among the top 30 percent of the nation\u2019s education schools. It marks a third year of improvement in the rankings by Montclair State.
