Released on January 9, 2018, the new ranking confirms Montclair State\u2019s growing national and state reputation as a research doctoral university.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur College is a national leader in preparing educators and other professionals in rigorous and innovative programs,\u201d says College of Education and Human Services Dean Tamara Lucas. \u201cOur online Educational Leadership program is a prime example of our commitment to offering outstanding academic programs that are responsive to the needs of our students and our other constituents. The program&#8217;s ranking is a testament to the vision and expertise of the program&#8217;s leadership and faculty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In arriving at its rankings,\u00a0<em>U.S. News &amp; World Report<\/em>\u00a0considers five general categories, including student engagement; student services and technology; admissions selectivity; faculty credentials and training; and peer reputation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cQuality content, delivery and service are an integral part of the fabric of our team at Montclair State University Online,\u201d explains Executive Director for Online and Extended Learning Peter McAliney. \u201cBest practices and incorporating student feedback into our operations are important to our continuous improvement. We are committed to providing top-quality online education, and are happy that our efforts are recognized by both our students and outside organizations that acknowledge what it takes to deliver a quality online program.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Taught by an accomplished and highly regarded faculty, Montclair State\u2019s comprehensive online Educational Leadership program combines theory and practice to give students the preparation they need to become effective school leaders. The program\u2019s flexible design lets students choose study options that best meet their career goals and schedules. In addition, according to McAliney, with its dedicated resources for course design, the program captures the best practices in online pedagogy.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the online MA in Educational Leadership, the University offers an online MBA degree program, online master\u2019s degree programs in Information Technology, Sustainability Science and Child Advocacy and Policy, and a low-residency MFA program in Dance.
