Montclair State University has launched the first graduate-level Computational Linguistics program in New Jersey, an interdisciplinary master\u2019s degree that merges a love of language with technology.<\/p>\n
The University has also introduced Social Research and Analysis to The Graduate School offerings. Montclair State is designated by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education as a doctoral university with high research activity and recognized by New Jersey as one of the state\u2019s four public research universities. Both new master\u2019s degree programs start in fall 2019.<\/p>\n

Students in New Jersey\u2019s first and only computational linguistics master\u2019s degree program will receive the interdisciplinary training in computer science and linguistics needed to help machines process human language \u2013 and help linguists understand language through computer models. Working with world-class faculty in the University\u2019s new state-of-the-art Center for Computing and Information Science, students in the two-year, 32-credit program will be prepared to fill the growing need for computational linguistics professionals in the financial, insurance, scientific and technological sectors.<\/p>\n
