{"id":210724,"date":"2020-01-14T06:05:06","date_gmt":"2020-01-14T11:05:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/newscenter\/?p=210724"},"modified":"2020-03-18T13:24:42","modified_gmt":"2020-03-18T17:24:42","slug":"montclair-state-university-online-graduate-programs-ranked-among-nations-best-by-u-s-news-world-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/newscenter\/2020\/01\/14\/montclair-state-university-online-graduate-programs-ranked-among-nations-best-by-u-s-news-world-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Montclair State University Online Graduate Programs Ranked Among Nation\u2019s Best By U.S. News &amp; World Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Montclair State University\u2019s online <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/online\/graduate-degrees\/educational-leadership-ma\/\">Master of Arts in Educational Leadership<\/a> program has been ranked No. 1 in New Jersey and No. 25 in the nation in the <em>U.S. News &amp; World Report 2020 Best Online Programs <\/em>rankings<em>. <\/em>The program is one of three online graduate programs offered by Montclair State to be placed among the nation\u2019s best in the annual rankings.<\/p>\n<p>The University\u2019s online <a href=\"https:\/\/business.montclair.edu\/programs\/graduate-programs\/online-mba\">Master of Business Administration (MBA)<\/a> program has risen 43 spots in a single year to be tied at No. 88 out of 321 programs. Montclair State\u2019s new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/programs-of-study\/information-technology-ms-concentration-in-applied-information-technology-professional-science-masters-online\/\">Master of Science in Information Technology<\/a> with a concentration in Applied Information Technology (Professional Science Master\u2019s) \u2013 in its first year of eligibility \u2013 was also ranked in the No. 45-58 category, establishing the program as one of the up-and-coming offerings in both New Jersey and the country.<\/p>\n<p>The Educational Leadership program\u2019s Educational Administration and Supervision concentration was also ranked among the top 25 in the nation in the rankings\u2019 new specialty areas results, coming in at No. 22.<\/p>\n<p>Based on scores from five categories \u2013 student engagement, services and technologies, student excellence, faculty credentials and training, and opinions of academic experts \u2013 the rankings once again showcase Montclair State\u2019s status as a national leader in educator preparation, and as a creator of high-quality, accessible academic programming worthy of research doctoral university and New Jersey Public Research University status.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProviding affordable, accessible educational programs is central to Montclair State University\u2019s mission,\u201d says Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Willard Gingerich. \u201cOur online offerings allow students to earn industry-relevant credentials while continuing and expanding their professional and career opportunities. These rankings demonstrate that students receive a high-quality and highly valued education, and the University is innovative in delivering it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Montclair State also offers several other online graduate degree and certificate options designed to equip working professionals with career-enhancing skills.<\/p>\n<p>The University\u2019s Master of Science degree in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/online\/graduate-degrees\/sustainability-science-ms-psm\/\">Sustainability Science<\/a> integrates industry-related coursework with opportunities for business and leadership skill development. Montclair State\u2019s online <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/nursing\/master-of-science-in-nursing\/\">Master of Science in Nursing<\/a> prepares registered nurses (RNs) for advanced practice in administration, education and clinical research.<\/p>\n<p>A fully online <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/online\/graduate-degrees\/child-advocacy-ma\/\">Master of Arts in Child Advocacy and Policy<\/a> prepares professionals for career advancement, and the University\u2019s low-residency <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/programs-of-study\/dance-mfa\/\">Master of Fine Arts in Dance<\/a> uniquely combines on-ground studio work with online theory and research.
