{"id":224703,"date":"2024-08-30T15:50:22","date_gmt":"2024-08-30T19:50:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/newscenter\/?p=224703"},"modified":"2024-09-01T12:09:26","modified_gmt":"2024-09-01T16:09:26","slug":"montclair-to-launch-realigned-academic-calendar-in-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/newscenter\/2024\/08\/30\/montclair-to-launch-realigned-academic-calendar-in-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Montclair to Launch Realigned Academic Calendar in 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Beginning in January 2025, Montclair State University will revamp its academic calendar to enhance the student experience by creating year-round access to the educational resources of a comprehensive public research institution.<\/p>\n<p>Montclair will move to a three-term model \u2013 with a full term in the summer in addition to traditional spring and fall terms \u2013 to increase flexible learning options and ensure each student has an optimal path to completing a degree.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo meet students where they are and become a 21st-century higher education institution, we must create as many pathways to earn a degree as possible,\u201d says Montclair President Jonathan Koppell. \u201cThe new three-term model allows us to be nimble and creative. We can offer courses in multiple modalities and ultimately provide year-round options for students to access all University resources, allowing them to complete their studies in as optimal a manner as possible.
