{"id":3264,"date":"2026-01-27T18:27:40","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T18:27:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/nursing\/?p=3264"},"modified":"2026-01-27T18:27:40","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T18:27:40","slug":"2026-college-rankings-u-s-news-world-report-ranks-montclair-among-best-online-programs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/nursing\/2026\/01\/27\/2026-college-rankings-u-s-news-world-report-ranks-montclair-among-best-online-programs\/","title":{"rendered":"2026 College Rankings: U.S. News &amp; World Report Ranks Montclair Among Best Online Programs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Montclair State University has been recognized in multiple categories of the 2026 U.S. News &amp; World Report <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/education\/online-education\/rankings\" target=\"_blank\">Best Online Programs<\/a> rankings, led by a Top 5 national placement for its online <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ma-educational-leadership\/\" target=\"_blank\">Master of Arts in Educational Leadership<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Montclair\u2019s online Master\u2019s in Educational Leadership improved to No. 5 (tie), up nine spots from No. 14 in the 2025 rankings.<\/p>\n<p>For the first time, Montclair also earned a ranking in the Best Online Bachelor\u2019s Programs category at No. 56 (tie), reflecting the University\u2019s growing portfolio of online undergraduate degree completion options which now includes <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/bs-business-administration\/\" target=\"_blank\">Business Administration<\/a>, <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ba-economics\/\" target=\"_blank\">Economics<\/a>, <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ba-family-science-and-human-development\/\" target=\"_blank\">Family Science and Human Development<\/a>, <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ba-liberal-studies-online\/\" target=\"_blank\">Liberal Studies<\/a>, <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/nursing-rn-to-bsn-online\/\" target=\"_blank\">Nursing RN to BSN<\/a> and <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ba-psychology\/\" target=\"_blank\">Psychology<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Montclair\u2019s online graduate business offerings were also recognized, with the University\u2019s Best Online Master\u2019s in Business Programs (non-MBA) ranked No. 53 (tie) nationally, an eight-spot increase from No. 61 in 2025. The ranking highlights the strength of Montclair\u2019s online Master of Science programs in <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ms-business-analytics\/\" target=\"_blank\">Business Analytics<\/a>, <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ms-digital-marketing-analytics\/\" target=\"_blank\">Digital Marketing Analytics<\/a>, and <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ms-human-resource-analytics\/\" target=\"_blank\">Human Resource Analytics<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Additional 2026 ranked programs include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Best <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/mba-master-of-business-administration\/\" target=\"_blank\">Online MBA<\/a> Programs: No. 107 (tie)<\/li>\n<li>Best <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/nursing-msn-online\/\" target=\"_blank\">Online Master\u2019s in Nursing<\/a> Programs: No. 62 (tie)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cMontclair Online makes everything around learning as simple as possible, from applying, to navigating coursework, to getting student support when questions come up,\u201d says Marc Austin, vice provost and managing director, Montclair Unbound. \u201cThese U.S. News rankings reflect the work behind the scenes to deliver a high-quality online experience that\u2019s engaging, well-supported and designed for student success.
