Welcome to the NEST: Network Engagement and Student/Staff Transactions.

What Is NEST?

NEST (Network Engagement and Student/Staff Transactions) has arrived as the primary web gateway for student and faculty/staff self-service. NEST will give you single-sign-on access to many current and upcoming products including Self-Service Banner (SSB).

When Will NEST Be Available?

Starting today, students, faculty and staff have access to the NEST by logging on with your University NetID and password.

What Will Be Available Through NEST?

Access to tools and services through NEST will be based on your role at the University. In the first roll-out the following will be available:

Students will be able to:

  1. Update personal and emergency contact information through the product Self Service Banner (SSB).
  2. Pay housing deposits and new student enrollment fees for fall 2016 through SSB and the new payment system: TouchNet
  3. Review financial aid information:
    • Current financial aid requirements (if they have a financial aid record)
    • (Note: Financial aid requirements may take additional time to import into NEST. It is important that students check back often for their full financial aid checklist.)
    • Important financial aid web links
  4. View important announcements and news
  5. View information regarding summer and fall 2016 registration
  6. Access through web links in the top navigation section:
    • Gmail
    • Library website
    • University Directory

Faculty and staff will have access to:

  1. Important links to frequently visited websites
    • Canvas
    • PeopleSoft FMS
    • ESS (Time reporting)
    • 25Live
  2. Important information for advisors regarding the degree audits for new and continuing students:
    • Access through web links to Faculty and Advisory Student Services (FASS) and Starfish academic advising software
  3. View important news and reminders
  4. Internet Native Banner (INB) for designated Financial Aid and Admissions staff
  5. Web links in the top navigation section:
    • Canvas
    • Webmail
    • Library Website
    • University Directory

Students will be able to view:

  • Fall 2016 course schedule information
  • Academic advising information
  • Important fall 2016 registration links

Faculty and staff will be able to view:

  1. Additional advisors links such as:
    • DegreeWorks for Audit (formerly known as Analysis of Academic Progress) information for new fall 2016 students and transfer students
    • Advisees list, so all advisors can view information about each student they are assigned for advising
  2. Faculty Resources with My Schedule and My Course Lists
  3. Faculty Dashboard with list of classes
  4. Web link to Self-Service Banner

  • Review academic audit (formerly known as Analysis of Academic Progress)

  • Download the mobile app for managing everything via smartphone or tablet. And much more!

Faculty and staff will be able to:

  • Access to Workday (new employee system)
  • Access the Fall 2016 University Catalog via CourseLeaf
  • Download the mobile app for managing everything via smartphone or tablet
  • Access Audit information for all students via DegreeWorks. And much more!

It is important that faculty and staff familiarize themselves with NEST, so keep a sharp eye out for updates as features and services are added to your NEST connection.
