Montclair State University\u2019s online Master of Arts in Educational Leadership<\/a> program is ranked No. 1 in New Jersey and No. 15 in the nation \u2013 up 10 spots from 2020 – in the U.S. News & World Report 2021 Best Online Programs<\/em> rankings.<\/em> The program also ranked among the top 20 in the nation in the rankings\u2019 specialty area results for Educational Administration and Supervision, moving up three spots to No. 19.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two other online graduate programs offered by Montclair State also placed among the nation\u2019s best in the annual rankings.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The University\u2019s Master of Science in Information Technology<\/a> with a concentration in Applied Information Technology (Professional Science Master\u2019s) is now ranked No. 56 in the nation, while Montclair State\u2019s online Master of Business Administration (MBA)<\/a> program continued its climb up the rankings to No. 79 (up nine spots from 2020).<\/p>\n

U.S. News program rankings are based on scores from five categories \u2013 student engagement, services and technologies, student excellence, faculty credentials and training, and opinions of academic experts.<\/p>\n

“These rankings once again highlight Montclair State University’s ability to deliver a nationally prominent, accessible education in any delivery mode,” says Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Willard Gingerich. “They affirm that when a student commits to an online program at Montclair State, they are pursuing industry-leading credentials \u2013 while perhaps also continuing to build professional experience \u2013 at a distinguished public research university dedicated to their advancement in their respective industries.”<\/p>\n

Montclair State also offers several other online graduate degree and certificate options designed to equip working professionals with career-enhancing skills.<\/p>\n

The University\u2019s Master of Science degree in Sustainability Science<\/a> integrates industry-related coursework with opportunities for business and leadership skill development. Montclair State\u2019s online Master of Science in Nursing<\/a> prepares registered nurses (RNs) for advanced practice in administration, education and clinical research.<\/p>\n

A fully online Master of Arts in Child Advocacy and Policy<\/a> prepares professionals for career advancement, and the University\u2019s low-residency Master of Fine Arts in Dance<\/a> uniquely combines on-ground studio work with online theory and research. Other offerings include a Master of Science in Business Analytics<\/a>, and a Pre-licensure MSN program for non-nursing college graduates<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Graduate certificate options<\/a> including Virtual Learning for Students with Disabilities<\/a>, K-12 Computer Science Teaching<\/a>, Gifted and Talented Education<\/a> and Computing Technology<\/a> are also available for those who may already have an advanced degree but want to build out or update skills that can enhance their career goals.<\/p>\n
