Tiger Roholt (professor of philosophy) received his PhD from Columbia University. He writes about meaningfulness, technology, art, and music. Roholt has written three books, the most recent is Distracted from Meaning: A Philosophy of Smartphones<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>(Bloomsbury Academic, 2023). Groove<\/a>: A Phenomenology of Rhythmic Nuance<\/a><\/em> was published in 2014 (Bloomsbury Academic). Roholt’s Key Terms in Philosophy of Art<\/a> has been translated into Chinese, Arabic, and Persian. He has published journal articles in Techn\u00e9: Research in Philosophy and Technology<\/em>, The Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism,<\/em> etc.\u00a0Recently published in The<\/em> Oxford Handbook on the Phenomenology of Music<\/em> is Roholt’s chapter, “Performance, Technology, and the Good Life.” He teaches courses such as Philosophies of the Self, Meaning in Life, Philosophy of Technology, Ethics and Technology, Existentialism, and Ethical Reasoning.
