Regular Seminar or Meeting Times

Department Colloquium or Physics Club Events
Department Colloquia are scheduled on selected Wednesdays from 4pm-5pm, with cookies/coffee starting at 3:30pm. These will take place in the 2nd floor seminar room in Richardson Hall (RI-201, near the student lounge and department main office). Physics Club meetings are scheduled at the same day/time slot on most days when no colloquium is scheduled. See the list of currently scheduled events below. (Note that seminar attendance is required for PHYS 198 and PHYS 300 students. Usually, the seminar overlaps with the scheduled class period.)
Astronomy Club Public Lectures
8 p.m.-9 p.m., second Wednesday of the month (every month including summer) in CELS 110. See the astronomy club homepage for more information, or Mary Lou West’s page for an updated list of speakers.
Public Telescope Nights
Every clear Thursday evening when school is in session. Begins around 8 p.m. in front of CELS. See Mary Lou West’s Telescope Night page or the Astronomy Club’s Facebook page.
