Sparta Middle School Teacher “Phones In” to Talk to Students

Ms. Cara Johnson took a day to get in touch with her students and fill them in on the exciting experiences she was having with PRISM at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in the Panama rainforest.

The seventh grade science students in Cara Johnson’s class had a surprise when their substitute met with them in the media center. This is the second year she was able to participant in these studies. Johnson got to participate in the program after a professional development course she took through PRISM at Montclair State University, hearing about it from that program’s Jacalyn Giacalone.
